eCommerce sales in the U.S. will fall to $133 billion
eMarketer has disclosed its forecasts relating to US retail e-commerce sales (excluding travel) in 2009. The company says the rate will fall to $133 billion. However, the company has added that the improvement of the economy would eventually result in increased online sales as observed before 2008. This is mainly expected to happen due to online consumers shifting to shopping online. As the e-commerce will enter a maturity stage by 2012, the growth rate will start declining
